Right… no big deal. Just need to replace a failing fan in my laptop. I figured I would pop the case off on the bottom, pull the plug and replace the fan. Sure… 3 hours later after removing nearly every piece from the chassis including the motherboard, I was able to get to the mounting hardware for this particular fan.
I even had to remove the monitor. Now, I’m no hardware engineer, but I would certainly like meet the genius that came up with this design. Surely, the cost of roto-zipping a compartment out of the bottom of the case and the 4 extra screws wouldn’t have sent HP to the poor house.
