Macro Away!!

I got a really good test of the macro capabilities today with our new Nikon D60.  Here are the results (right before I smacked it with my shoe...).

Storm Damage

Although we did not see the level of severe weather that Iowa and Minnesota witnessed yesterday, we did have a little damage.  Our only casualty was my Weber grill as seen here:

Our neighbors have/had a trampoline which ended up as the new Christmas decorations on the neighboring trees:

All-in-all, we came out pretty good considering the damage that storm had left in it's wake.  Our prayers are with those that lost loved ones in Iowa and Minnesota.

Reducing the shutter speed

Here are some results of lowering the shutter speed on the Nikon D60.  This shot was taken about 8:45 PM, when the sun had already set.

DSLR Jump

Well... we made the jump to a DSLR camera this weekend.  We've been playing around with this camera (Nikon D60) and have had absolutely, fantastic results.  Here are some examples:
